I'm at this store almost every other day for something & I've never been disappointed. shelves are always stocked, aisles are clear, & the workers are always friendly & make conversation. I love the remodel, also. nice selection of frozen/refrigerated foods & produce.

I have always faithfully shopped at this store. Today I went in there and there were literally 2 customers so not busy at all. I went to check out with my 2 items and the girl asked me if I was using cash and directed me to the self check out machine and literally took the guy behind me who was also paying in cash and had one item. Very very rude. Absolutely no reason why she could not check me out especially since I was first in line.

As a paying customer I should be able to use the restroom here. But every time I stop by while waiting until my son gets out of school the bald headed mid height man I’m assuming a manager ALWAYS says the restrooms are out of order for some odd reason. The excuse today was there was no running water. So you mean to tell me you’ll work your entire shift without using the restroom seriously.

I was surprised at the higher quality shampoos, make-up, and facial cleaners. Not just no-name brands.The store was cluttered in the clothing section with sales on fall clothes and winter clothes being put out at same time.The employees were very nice. I left my lipstick laying on the checkout counter and the cashier kindly flagged me as I was pulling out to give it to me.The cashier told me of the Halloween gift bags that would be given to kids on the 31st and said to be sure to bring my kids in to get one.Larger selection then I would have thought. Very nice employees that go beyond to give great service to customers.

Took my son there and was in the toy section jusy before 8pm at night. On just 1 rack would be 3 separate toys and of course my son wanted to look at the toy that was in the back. I had to pull off 2 sets of 2 totally different toys just to get to the one my son wanted. Next thing I know, Norma, the cashier, comes over asking what are we doing. Obviously we are checking out the toys, that are on display in such an unorganized manner. She then tells me I better not make a mess in this aisle because she wants to get out of there by 10:30pm sharp. Nothing was out of the order in which they stocked the items but yet she had to say that and it hit a nerve with me bad. I think that is the rudest thing to say to a customer in the 1st place. So I took my son and put back every thing we got and left. As we are leaving, Norma says to me, Did I offend you mam? I said Yes you did and that was very rude of you to say to a customer that is in your store 3 hours before you close. She didnt have much to say after that but shrugged. Needless to say but I wont go back to that store again.

We have the most helpful and courteous people at our Dollar general stores in Excel and Monroeville . They are busy working people who care about their customers needs. And don't mind stopping to help you any way they can. Always have a smile and that goes a long ways with me. Thanks Dollar General for being so loyal to your customers.We appreciate your service.
