The pictures sure are NOT from our store in Elba!!!! The floor is old and never looked that organized in years. Elba news a new store. This store is run down. How can every community all around us get nice Market Place DG and not us? there is 2 lots for sale very close to the current store. Elba needs this store, but it is nasty and you can hear foul language coming from employees the manager and there is a boom box playing music straight from the pit of Hell with awful words. Children are in this store!!! Like I said we need this store built a new one and make some rules for your employees to go by and enforce them or let them go. The manager should have a college degree. Dollar General you get what you pay for and Elba is not getting the quality other people are in surrounding stores. Please come see for yourself.

Said they don't accept FedEx packages for drop off. FedEx said they are liars and just lazy. Perhaps you should ask to be dropped off their service app if you don't want to participate. Other than that an ok store, disorganized though but I ain't seen an organized one yet.

9-11-23. I arrived at the dollar general store 12 minutes before they closed the store. It was empty not even the employees were inside tending the store they were too busy smoking and socializing between themselves, before I even get inside 2 female employees inform me that I had 11 minutes before they closed. I can tell time and I knew I had plenty of time to get the 2 maybe 3 items I came for. I go in pick 1 of the items up and head for the other that is if they have it. I thought about the zeal and gusto the employees exhibited telling me how much time I had all the while they all were still outside apparently already off work as there certainly wasn't anyone at a cash register. So I put my item back and walked out without buying anything. Maybe I am wrong but I didn't appreciate the door greeting employees basically telling me to hurry up as if I didn't already know what time they closed. I guess they were already off of work anyway because like I said no one was at a cash register. I will have to be plum broke and in a sure enough desperate situation before I ever go back to that store.

False advertisement, the prices in the store are not the same at the register. Every item increased by 50 cent and than taxed. Brought attention to this to the employees, they offered no solution. No refund, or no sympathy for the obvious error. (Picture below is one example)

Place needs to shut the doors...Floors haven't been cleaned in years... staff playing with cell phones more than working...Coolers/freezers, out.. nothing comman in stock... DG needs to close this location down.. and revamp...A littoral dump..

This Dollar General is not like most DG you go to and I say this because you don't have to walk over stocking items to get to what you like most DG. It's really spacious and they keep things stocked. Not sure what they are different then the others but they could learn a lot from their strategy. The only thing I got find a issue with is the customer service. They are not exactly the most friendliest. Its straight to the point rang you up state your price and their moving you along. I guess I would like a greeting and smile even if it's fake.

I came on a day they were pricing and stocking. There were people working: sitting on the ground near the registers changing the price strips. And about 6 of us customers waiting for one cashier to check us all out. After a short wait another employee came over and opened another register. Other than that it is a nice store. I will go back. Usually when I go in there the cashiers are very friendly.The cashier was friendly this time too.

Always enjoy going to the Dollar General! The Elba store is a super staff for the most part; they are friendly and will assist you in finding items you need. One complaint is the stock. It seems there are always items that are frequently sold out. When you return days later (maybe a week or more at times), the item is still out of stock. The manager, however, has placed special orders for me and I greatly appreciate it. Overall, DG is a good place to shop - and saves you a lot of money on particular items when compared to the only grocery store in town.

They really changed this store. Love the fact they carry frozen fruits and veges. DG really moved up as a store I frequent more than the local grocery store.Sad thing is they don't let you return frozen foods if opened.Still shop here though and I love the new freezers and the cashier area layout.I do wish they still carried Activia.

Once I learned layout of store in and out was a breeze ! Employees are very helpful and I love shopping at my Dollar General! If they only sold meat and veggies I would shop.no.where else!

I have a friend that had a bad experience with the manager and another employee. The police were involved. Turned out mistaken identity. She left the store humiliated and crying without an apology from manager or other employee.
