I usually find what I'm looking for, in the way of small items, or detergents, office supplies and even frozen goods. Most snack and drink items available. Definitely beats going to the large retail stores for just a few items.

Its the largest Dollar General store I have seen. They offer a large variety of cold/frozen food. They offer more items but the isles are very spacious. The cashier was amazing, wish I would have gotten her name.. (she had purple/blue hair) she went above and beyond to help and be friendly to everyone. The only issue was they had just open a few hours prior and the credit/ debit card machine had went down so it was cash only. They will be staying open until 10.

I love this place! There is, at least 6 "Dollar Generals" that are in a 5 mile radius, from my home. I could visit anyone of them, but I choose to shop at the Sumiton Plaza, Dollar General because the day shift girl's, that work here, are amazing! They're friendly, and VERY helpful! I visit this store at least 2 times a week... in and out within minutes, very convenient with a great selection of goods.

Good selection, well organized, friendly staff and well lit. Some prices are higher than other stores, but most are less than others. I like that they stay open late. Can get last minute items after other stores have closed. Plenty of parking. Try it, you'll like it.

This Dollar General location is the worst of any I have visited. There is never an employee to assist if you need help finding an item or other assistance. Every time I have been to this location, I have always had a long wait to be checked out. There was only one line operating each time I was there. If at all avoidable, I would recommend passing this location for the next Dollar General in town.

The prices at Dollar General are lower than most places in this area so it makes it worth shopping there. The biggest problem with this store and most Dollar General's I've shopped at is they'll leave restocking boxes in the isles and you don't have access to the products or space to even push a shopping buggy. They also are under staffed and always have only one register open no matter if there's one or 20 customers in line. Be prepared to wait. Giving the store 3 stars is generous.

It was the worst shopping experience that I have ever had. The dollar general app and digital coupons are a joke I deleted the app and account from my phone as soon as I left the store. I had to press a star before I could post this so that's the only reason there's even one there.

It was a great place. But it was shut down and reopened up the street and the new place is such an amazing dollar general. And the people that work there are the best people in the world. So helpful and nice. Can't askFor a better place to shop.

Dollar General is a convenient store on steroids soft drinks beer chips and cigarettes all that's missing is gas.Parking there's plenty.They sale a huge variety of types of items clothing,baby items,school and party supplies,cleaning and paper supplies,candies,seasonal,dog and cat food to much to mention reasonable prices.Most of the time one cashier but line usually goes pretty smooth enjoy your shopping trip.

Store is always unorganized with merchandise crammed where ever they can get it. I guess that's better than always being sold out of an item like our local Walmart.

THIS STORE NEEDS TO GET THE AIR CONDITIONER FIXED!!! A.S.H.P. THE STORE NUMBER IS 07036! HOW DO THEY ACCEPT US TO SHOP THERE! THE CANDY BARS ARE MELTED BECAUSE IT'S SO HOT! I ALMOST PASSED OUT IN THERE ,IT WAS COOLER OUTSIDE THAN IN THE STORE! I GUESS WHEN SOMEONE PASSES OUT IN THERE MAYBE THEN THEY WILL DO SOMETHIF ENOUGH PEOPLE POST AND NOT SHOP THERE THEY MIGHT DO SOMETHING FINALLY!!!ING! I FEEL BAD FOR THE WORKERS, THEY EVEN LOOK LIKE THEY ARE GOING TO PASS OUT! GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE AND FIX THE AIR!! I WON'T BE BACK UNTIL IT'S FIXED!

Pointless store. Shelves are always empty. Instead of the workers sitting in the office maybe they could restock something. No reason for this store to be open anymore.

My favorite DG friendly workers they know me by now cause I constantly comes in. I'm a regular customer and if it's something I come in for if they don't have it they order it. I've seen workers come and go but I know them all.

The sales were not ringing up on the register. Digital coupons not working properly. The stores in Sumiton are VERY unorganized. Merchandise is not put out. It is always hard to get around in both stores. Some isles are not even shoppable. They are not clean. The employees do not seem to know anything about the holiday sales. The one across from Hardee's in Sumiton has no signage up to let customers know about the sales. It is one of the nastiest stores I've ever been in. And the manager, well, let's just say he's not a customer service oriented person.

This Dollar General store does not impress me. Most everything isnt where it should be. EVERYTHING IN THE CLEARANCE SECTION ISNT CORRECTLY PRICED . Not only that most of the clearance items have no price at all. Makes it difficult to make purchases . They put items that are not on sale with ones that are so u never know what's really marked down

I was in the store and I was about to buy a pack of candy and the power went out and they couldn't ring me up so I put up the candy and left and they came running after me accusing me of stealing. I used to be a regular customer now I'm never returning.

It's a cording to witch one you go to the one in vestaiva on highway 31 is one of the best and the one that's on new castle and Tarrant road the of the have some very rude people working in the especially the one in Fultondale on highway 31 and the one in Gardendale by foodland

Dirty towels on floor from the last time it rained. Only one employee so she didn't have time to put stock out from Friday. They have been out of sugar for 3 weeks
