It’s truly sad when you see empty shelves at the Dollar General. The people that have the money to buy food and supplies can’t. They can’t keep the shelves stocked after they built so many.

No one is working and store is still closed an hour after it’s supposed to be open, multiple people have stopped to shop but unable to and delivery truck has been waiting for who knows how long. The driver has fallen asleep waiting if that’s a hint as to how long they’ve been waiting.

Never stocked, you can never find anything here. There are literally boxes of stuff blocking the isles that no one has put out. It also closes ar random times. It's literally closed right in front of me as I type this. Never stocked, you never know when it's going to be open, awful store.

The staff are very friendly, warm & welcoming.It was very organized & clean, but I was quite surprised with an overpowering, chemical smell inside the store.When I privately asked about it, I was informed that they had been doing some in-depth cleaning.There's a wonderful bunch of people working there.

Good selection.just don't forget to pick every bag up with the things you just bought. Because if you leave they will put back on the shelf. They did not put it up and let you come back and get it. I don't think that is very fair. I even know the people been in there a lot and they still would not give me my stuff because I cannot find my receipt but it was probably in the bag

Horrible I went thru self checkout and the lady checked me out thru self checkout she made me so uncomfortable and embarrassed like I steal I'll never go back and no I did nothing to deserve it I'll never go back and u boats everywhere I don't steal she had a Line to check me out I feel so embarrassed and ashamed even tho I did nothing don't go

Too slow. Were several working. But only 1 checking customers out. With long line. Didn't scan all my paper coupons an tried to tell me I didn't get an item from coupon an I pulled it back out of bag. Not very friendly.

I like this store. I like the employees. BUT....I'm 50 yrs old & can't get a pack of cigarettes at Dollar General.I'm easily NOT under legal smoking age.... This is like the cigarette Gestapo. Completely Ridiculous.Especially late at night when Ihave to drive 30 minutes to getthem elsewhere.

The cashier was very polite and check out line was not bad at all . They had both registers opened . I had a question about a few of my items because the price on the receipt and. The clearance price it was did not match they fixed the problem and apologized . Excellent store :) Thank You!

Close to the residents who live in the boon docks from the outskirts of Athens, Al.Lester, Elkmont, Salem area that has pretty dang close to a decently sized grocery store/frozen foods selection! Also they provide fast service for standing in line to pay and getting checked out . it's the second best fast service in my opinion ! I definitely recommend this store the most out of all the surrounding dollar general store's located nearby the town's/cities I listed!

I'm bias. I LOVE the Dollar General. Especially when they put out school supplies cause they're cheap and fun to buy! I love the convenience and the prices at Dollar General!

Blonde manager at store on Hwy 72 beside minuteman shell station always giving young people "looks'... She's also known to be racist toward Spanish Americans.. Hostile place. Im not the only citizen in the Athens community that's SICK of her one dollar attitude & 2$ hairdos

Love my DG! I'm there at least once a week. The milk is dated about a week longer than the grocery store plus cheaper.

This is a great place to pop in when you forgot something at walmart or just need milk. The only downside is the line is usually terribly long and they only have one register open.

I have never been in ANY DG, like this FAB place! The aisles are skinny, barely take a BIG man, but u musta made a deal with GOD, the Angels that help an old DAVet. They smile & help, more than I ever asked. Selena & Amanda, & a dude who was fired/quit last year. He saw my Walker wouldn't fit down ur skinny aisles, so He helped me fill .y basket, no complaints, all smiles.
